Amjad Farid (Fareed) Sabri was born on 23 December 1970. Amjad Sabri was a Pakistani qawwal, naat khawan. Amjad Sabri was the Son of Ghulam Farid Sabri And Nephew of Maqbool Ahmed Sabri of the Sabri Brothers. He was shot dead in Karachi in a targeted killing on 22 June 2016. Pakistani police and paramilitary arrested his alleged killers who have confessed to killing the renowned singer
Amjad Fareed Sabri was Born in Karachi, Sindh on 23 December 1970. Amjad Sabri began learning qawwali music from his father Ghulam Farid Sabri at age nine and joined his father on stage to perform in 1988 at age 12. Ghulam Farid Sabri trained him in Raag Bhairon, which is practiced in early morning. For this training Amjad Sabri had to get out of bed in the mid night, then after performing tahajjud (a midnight prayer) practised the baja. Amjad Fareed Sabri presented the work of his family and travelled widely to India, America and Europe where he was known as the “rock star” of qawwali.
Amjad Sabri used to recite chorus and clap in his father and uncle’s band Sabri Brothers. After his father’s death he worked as a supporting vocalist and also used to play bongo drums. Later, in 1996 he started his own group with his brothers and friends as members. Amjad Sabri used to recite poetry sung by his father and uncle, then eventually began to include some of his own compositions including ‘Ali Ke Sath Hai Zehra Ki Shaadi & Na Poochiye Ke Kya Hussain Hai. His most popular song is a Naat Karam Maangta Hoon. His other works include Main Nazar Karoon Jaan E Jigar, Allah Allah, Dhoom Macha Do, Kaab Ki Raunaq, Kaash Yeh Dua Meri, Ali Mera Dil, Phir Dikha De Haram, Tuloo E Saher Hai Shaam-E-Qalandar and his last Naat Aye Sabz Gumbad Wale.

Zain Bhikha was born on 9 August 1974 in South Africa. He is a South African singer-songwriter who performs Islamic nasheeds/Naats songs. Zain Bhikka is Associated with other Muslim musicians, including Yusuf Islam and Dawud Wharnsby. Zain has collaborated on albums and also released several solo albums.
Zain Bhikka Early life
Zain parents were Indian South African. His father name is Rashid Bhikka and his mother’s name is Mariam Bhikka. He was born on August 9, 1974, in Pretoria, South Africa. Zain Bhikha has 4 siblings. Zain is an only brother among three sisters Zaheera, Nasira and Nasima. Zain Bhikka started singing from a young age, though entertaining his family and friends were enjoyable past-times, and he did not have any belief that his singing would take him further from that point.
In 1994, Bhikha joined a singing competition sponsored by a local radio station. Zain Bhikha song was recorded at a home karaoke system and he won first place over others with far more experience. After this unexpected accomplishment, Zain was approached by the Pretoria Muslim School.
This school asked him to write and record a new school anthem for them. Bhikha Inspired by this and he wrote an anthem for his school. After composing a complete album, which title is “A Way of Life”, an album named in a reference to the Deen of Islam.
This was a compilation of a cappella Islamic songs, mostly in English covering the various tenets of the Muslim faith. Zain Bhikha’s album took only two weeks to complete and marked a significant turning point in his life and musical career.
As Zain BHikha show as an artist in South Africa, other artists seeking to reach Muslim youth with music came to be familiar with his work, including world-renowned musician and prominent convert to Islam.
Zain Bhikha’s Career Development
“A Way of Life” sparked the beginning of His albums, his many more album releases which names are “Praise to the Prophet” i in (1996), “Fortunate is He” in (1997) and “The Journey” in(1998). Zain Bhikha’s song is very popular throughout South Africa, especially for young children who found the songs educational and inspiring. His popularity caused it to filter in abroad and helps come to the ears of Yusuf Islam.
In 1999, Zain Bhikha went to the United Kingdom to join Yusuf Islams. This opportunity was a lifelong dream for Zain bhikha. For achieve popularity, Zain Bhikha was given the chance to perform in seven of the eight songs on the album. Zain also gained much experience from Yusuf Islam as he had no previous formal music training. During the production of this album that Zain was brought on board as an artist under Mountain of Light’s cultural label which is called “Jamal Records.
With the backing of Jamal Records, Zain decided that worldwide release of two compilation albums incorporating all material he had done thus far. the title of these albums is “Children of Heaven” and “Towards the Light”, which features some remixed songs.
Under the guidance of Mountain of Light and the worldwide distribution power of Jamal Records, Zain released his first new album under the label which title is, “Faith” in (2001).
The songs in this album deal with a broad spectrum of emotions from hardships to happiness but always invoke a constant consciousness of the Almighty. The album also brought about collaborations between Zain and well-known Canadian songwriter, Dawud Wharnsby Ali.

Bhikha writes and directs plays written specifically for schools in order to add in his music. One of his many successful school plays which names are, An Orphans Tale, which he produced in conjunction with the Pretoria Muslim School. It was a great success and brought a full house for all three nights that it ran in October 2003.
