AutoCAD 2019 for Mac and AutoCAD LT 2019 for Mac are filled with many new features and enhancements. German and Japanese languages are now supported in AutoCAD for Mac, in addition to the already available English and French languages. Looking back, Autodesk released AutoCAD 2018 for Mac in November 2017 and AutoCAD 2017 for Mac in December 2016. Despite 2019 being the current version for most Autodesk products, at the time of writing, 2018 is the current release of AutoCAD for Mac.

The 2019.0.1 hotfix fixed some critical issues on 2019 and improved the overall stability. It is recommended to all 2019 users. Please read the entire document before you install the product. For reference, please save this document to your hard drive or print a copy.

Startup
- AutoCAD hangs at startup when trying to open the first drawing, caused by the 'hosts' system file corrupted.
Crashes
- Crash when using vpmax.
- Crash during migration.
- Multiple crash issues during plot.
- Crash when configuring qleader settings.
- Crash when working in 'New Excel Data Link' dialog.
Others
- AutoCAD shows two Help menus sometimes.
- Cannot float the layer palette sometimes.
- 10.14.4 macOS, preview in dialogs does not show, like plot, dimension styles, etc.
- Custom Plotstyles are not migrated.
- Draworder in Paper Space gets wrong sometimes.
Installation Instructions
The 2019.0.1 hotfix can be installed over AutoCAD(AutoCAD LT) 2019 for Mac.
To install AutoCAD(AutoCAD LT) for Mac 2019.0.1 hotfix, do the following:
- Close all Autodesk applications before you begin to install.
- Double-click AutoCAD_Mac_2019.0.1_Hotfix_Combo.dmg(AutoCAD_LT_Mac_2019.0.1_Hotfix_Combo.dmg) to mount the volume.
- Double-click AutoCAD_Mac_2019.0.1_Hotfix_Combo.pkg(AutoCAD_LT_Mac_2019.0.1_Hotfix_Combo.pkg) in the new mounted volume to run the installer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- The version can be checked in menu AutoCAD 2019(AutoCAD LT 2019) > select About AutoCAD(AutoCAD LT), you should see 'AutoCAD 2019.0.1' label.
Uninstallation
- Quit AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT for Mac.
- In Finder, navigate to Applications > Autodesk > AutoCAD 2019 and double-click Remove AutoCAD 2019 app. For LT, navigate to Applications > Autodesk > AutoCAD LT 2019 and double-click Remove AutoCAD LT 2019 app.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
